JAWS will be convening two panels at the upcoming conference of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences 2014. The conferences will be held in Chiba from 15 to 18 May 2014 and organised by the Japanese Society of Cultural Anthropology (JACSA).
The two panels are:
#23 ‘Living with disaster: Comparative approaches’ — this is a joint JAWS-JACSA panel, convened by Dr. Hayashi Isao (Minpaku, Osaka) and Dr. Brigitte Steger (U Cambridge).
#116 ‘Mutual anthropology: a proposal for future equality in the discipline’ — this is a JAWS panel, convened by Professors Joy Hendry and Shioji Yuko.
